700 Series Bi-Layer Caries Teeth
Take dental education and clinical training to the next level with our Bi-Layer Caries Teeth, designed exclusively for our flagship 700 Series typodonts. These teeth combine intentionally placed caries material with a true bi-layer structure to simulate the natural composition, feel, and cutting characteristics of human teeth.
The innovative design features a hard enamel crown paired with a softer dentin layer, with carefully placed caries material to create a realistic caries-removal experience. Detailed crown anatomy and enhanced secondary anatomy provide an immersive platform for students to practice identifying and removing caries before restoring the tooth.
The Bi-Layer Caries Teeth are produced in a different shade than standard replacement teeth, creating an opportunity for students to perform color-matching exercises with composite when preparing adjacent teeth.
Each tooth features approximately 6 mm of subgingival root structure, providing a reliable guide for proper tooth placement and helping simulate real-world clinical conditions. Our patented slot design at the base of each tooth helps maintain precise interproximal and occlusal contacts while preventing unnatural tooth rotation, ensuring consistent and predictable tooth positioning.
Students can feel the texture, simulate the cut, remove caries, and restore the tooth, creating a more complete and realistic restorative training experience.
